S1000D–DITA Training and Learning Subcommittee Summit
Splintertek is looking forward to attending the next S1000D-DITA Summit at the Job Performance Technology Center, Joint ADL Co-Lab, in Alexandria, VA.
The ADL brings together learning communities inside and outside of the Department of Defense that explore how XML can serve as an advantage for distant content distribution. The issues are many, the approaches are creative and diverse, and there is always risk that future developements in technology could result in solutions that are not consistent with interoperability. In anticipation of that scenario, and in the spirit of harnessing the energy conducted within the DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) and S1000D learning subgroups, ADL explores how learning content can benefit directly from XML modeling.
Splintertek takes an active approach in staying on top of industry movements and standards when it comes to e-Learning as a whole. At Splintertek we require all of our employees to take the time to indulge in learning new methodologies and developments.
Together we can break down the challenges that continue to arise within industry context:
- Consistency
- Complexity
- Reusability
- Customizability
We ask our employees to get involved with the ADL Community as well as diversify their knowledge of DITA and SCORM. Please contact any of your executive officers on how to become active members in any of these areas, which we highly recommend.
